Why Counselling

There are various different reasons why someone may be considering counselling, these could include a personal crisis or a major change in your life, some form of loss or separation, or maybe family or relationship issues are leaving you feeling low.

Through counselling we can explore difficult feelings and work through any concerns and anxieties that you may have, which will give you greater insight and leave you feeling free to enjoy life to your full potential.

I work privately at the Manor Drive Medical Centre Worcester Park where we offer excellent facilities which enable us to work confidentially in a safe and secure environment.

How Does Counselling Work

Counselling aims to help you gain deeper insight into your anxieties and concerns. This will enable you to get a better understanding of why you are feeling the way you are, which will help you find more appropriate ways of coping.

Counselling can help you recognise patterns and behaviours which may have sometimes stemmed from childhood or from a traumatic event in the past. Psychotherapy involves exploring those feelings of relevant events and looking at how these behaviour patterns may affect your life today.

Depending on the nature of your issue, therapy can be adapted to suit your needs with either short term or long term counselling.  The sessions are provided weekly on a one to one basis.
